Kyle M. Smith was born and raised in Eastern Iowa and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Science from the University of Iowa. Kyle and his wife, Dr. Karin Smith, moved to Peoria in 2011 from the Mississippi Gulf Coast where they both supported reconstruction efforts post Hurricane Katrina. They live with their three young sons and three rescue dogs. Kyle serves on the Board of the Greater Peoria Family YMCA and is active in local Scouts. Kyle joined the board in 2024.
