In our last Facebook LIVE, we caught up with Julie Locke and the Marquis family, a major donor for the new Peoria Ronald McDonald House. Check it out below if you missed it! They unveiled the design for a very special Hero Room, located in the Dax Wing. This suite design is a nod to The Wizard of Oz and celebrates 4-year old Marissa Marquis who has spent the last two years fighting leukemia – and is now in complete remission! Thanks to Marquis Energy and your 300 employees for your generous donation. And to Marissa… for loving everything about “the yellow brick road”. Follow us on Facebook to see our next #LIVE event coming up!

Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Central Illinois (RMHCCI) will host its first Art Gala on November, 2, 2019 at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Peoria, Illinois! We invite you to join us in an exciting one-time event which will feature the artwork to be showcased throughout the new Peoria Ronald McDonald House (RMH).
During the art gala, we will ask patrons to bid on and donate one or more works of art to the Peoria RMH. Artists will in turn be compensated for their efforts to fill the interior space with works creating a warm and comforting House where overnight accommodations and meals are provided at no charge for the families and patients of the local hospitals while their children (ages 0-22) are receiving treatment.
The Peoria RMH is currently under construction with an expected completion date of November 30, 2019. The new RMH will be located in the heart of the medical district, at the corner of Spalding and Monroe Streets, and will be occupied by the families of newborns to teenagers receiving medical care so content should be appropriate for those ages.
