Popsicles with a Purpose at Sucré at the Morton Pumpkin Festival from September 11-14, 2019

Contribute to the Cause: Sucré Sweets and Socials is teaming up with the Peoria Ronald McDonald House and Bowden the Brave Hero Room efforts to raise money to benefit the new Ronald McDonald House coming to Peoria, Illinois.

Purchase a popsicle or make a donation to help benefit the build of the 'Bowden the Brave' Hero Room at the new Ronald McDonald House.

Visit the tent set up outside Sucré Sweets and Socials during Morton Pumpkin Festival or find our tent located along the Morton Pumpkin Festival Parade route on Jefferson Street on Saturday morning. We'll set back up outside of Sucré after the parade is over and will be available through the end of Pumpkin Festival.

3rd Annual Labor Day Ducky Derby September 2, 2019

Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Central Illinois (RMHCCI) held their annual Labor Day Ducky Derby on Monday, September 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Knight’s Action Park. Funds were raised through donations, sponsorships and duck number purchases, which went towards supporting the families served at Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Central Illinois.

Families and individuals were invited to attend this event and watch the Ducky Derby free of charge. Duck numbers were purchased online or by mailing in the bottom portion of a tear off flyer with check. Flyers can be downloaded and printed out below. Duck numbers are $5 each, with packages of 6, 13, 30 and 50 ducks available for purchase.

Winning ducks from the 2019 Ducky Derby are:

A celebrity duck derby will take place at 10:45 a.m. featuring local politicians, servicemen/women, radio and news personalities, community leaders, etc. Waterpark tickets are not required to watch the Labor Day Ducky Derby. The waterpark will open at 10:00 a.m. the day of the derby, and discounted admission of  will be offered with proof of duck chance purchase.

Join us for Hero Night with the Peoria Chiefs at Dozer Park on Saturday, August 10 and help support the Peoria Ronald McDonald House. This family-friendly event is one you won’t want to miss with a special appearance by Marvel’s Superman and fireworks after the game.

A portion of all ticket sales purchased through this link will benefit the Peoria RMH. Tickets must be purchased BEFORE August 10 to benefit RMHCCI. May 6, 2019 marks a milestone day for the Peoria Ronald McDonald House®. We’re raising a bright yellow beam into place, capping off the structure to the main entryway to the House!

May 6, 2019 marks a milestone day for the Peoria Ronald McDonald House®. We’re raising a bright yellow beam into place, capping off the structure to the main entryway to the House! This event will take place at the Peoria RMH construction site, located at the corner of Spalding Avenue and NE Monroe Street. To help us celebrate, we’re asking you to come out, sign the beam and show your support for the Peoria RMH. Come for all or part of the event!

Kids receiving care at area hospitals will also get a chance to sign the entrance beam! In celebration of Mother’s Day and the families we will be serving, we’ll be transporting a 10ft x 8ft beam to the lobby at the OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois where children receiving care will sign the beam. Watch the happenings LIVE on Friday, May 10 at 11:00a.m. – Noon and see the second radiant beam take up residence at the Peoria RMH.

4th Annual Glow Run 5k May 3, 2019

Join us for the 4th Annual Glow Run on Friday, May 3, 2019, presented by the RMHCCI Teen Counci!

Proceeds from the run support the House and the families we serve! At the House we provide families with the essentials of home for as long as they need, at no cost to them. Support of our Glow Run through sponsorships, donations and participation directly impacts our charity and those we serve!

*Please note this is a fun run/walk, not a competitive one!

Date and Time: Friday, May 3, 2019. Check-in starts at 7p.m., race starts at 8 p.m.

What to wear: Course will be covered in black lights, so white and neon colors are recommended. You’re welcome to bring glow sticks and similar items! Have fun with it!!

Fee: $30 for Adults 18+ (includes t-shirt, and swag bag), $20 for students ages 12-18, kids 12 and under FREE ($10 for a t-shirt)

Give a Little Love® campaign at McDonald’s® Restaurants aims to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Central Illinois

Area restaurants provide support to children and families served through local Ronald McDonald House®

NOTE: Give a Little Love® has been extended through February 24th of 2019! 

 

CENTRAL ILLINOIS -  (January 25, 2019)—McDonald’s® Restaurants of Central Illinois and its local owner-operators will be providing support to Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Central Illinois (RMHCCI) from Friday, January 25, 2019 through Sunday, February 17, 2019 through the annual Give a Little Love® campaign.Give a Little Love® campaign at McDonald’s® Restaurants aims to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Central Illinois

To “Give a Little Love,” customers can donate $1 or more at over 90 participating McDonald’s restaurants throughout central Illinois. Customers who make a donation will have their names displayed on a paper heart in the restaurant. One hundred percent of the proceeds will stay local and benefit the families served by Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois. In 2018, more than $150,000 was raised during the Give a Little Love promotion.Customers who make a donation will have their names displayed on a paper heart in the restaurant.

The Ronald McDonald House provides the necessities of home for families with a seriously ill child receiving treatment.  At RMHCCI, families can stay together and find strength in numbers during a critical time. RMHCCI provides families with a private bed and bath, meals, laundry, parking and more in order to ease the stress of a difficult time in their lives. Families stay at the House at no charge to them, regardless of their length of stay.  The Springfield House currently serves over 400 families each year, and the Peoria House, estimated to open in late 2019 is estimated to serve 700 families annually. RMHCCI depends on the generous support of the community, especially through the Give a Little Love campaign.  Support from the community is essential to keep the house running smoothly for their families.

Join us for the 7th Annual Dave Cope “Swing for the Love of It” Memorial Golf Tournament on Tuesday September 11, 2018!
Join us for the 7th Annual Dave Cope “Swing for the Love of It” Memorial Golf Tournament on Tuesday September 11, 2018! The tournament will be held  at WeaverRidge Golf Club in Peoria, beginning at 10:00 a.m. with a scramble style tournament consisting of 36 teams of four players.  A buffet dinner, live and silent auctions and presentation of awards will immediately follow play.

The Swing for the Love of It Memorial Golf Tournament is in memory of Dave Cope, who formerly owned McDonald’s restaurants in the Peoria Co-op with his wife, Jayne, since 1990. The event is organized by McDonald’s Owner/Operators of the Peoria/Bloomington Co-op. Proceeds of the event will support Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois.

10:00 a.m. – Shotgun Scramble
4:oo p.m. – Live and Silent Auction
