Peoria House New Guests

To stay at the Ronald McDonald House® in Peoria , IL, families must:

  • Have a patient 21 years or younger being treated at a Peoria medical facility
    • Individuals seeking to stay at the House that are under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian
  • Live more than 30 minutes from Peoria
  • Successfully complete a criminal background check (for guests 18 and older)

Steps to Request a Room at the Peoria House:

  • Wait for confirmation - RMHCCI will contact you once we receive the registration and to obtain additional information, such as the criminal background check results.
  • Check availability - Because we are unable to take reservations, room accommodations are on a first come, first served basis. While we make every effort to provide a room, we may not be able to accommodate your family.
  • Check-in Procedure – All adults staying at the House must present photo IDs, complete the registration process, and have previously completed & passed a criminal background check.
  • Check-out Procedure – Upon a child’s discharge from the hospital, families must visit the front desk and begin the check-out process prior to leaving.

Returning Peoria Guests

If you completed the referral process less than one year ago, please call the House directly at 309-401-2525 to submit a request to stay. If it has been more than six months since you have completed the referral process, please go through the above Peoria New Guest process.

Springfield House New Guests

To stay at the Ronald McDonald House® in Springfield, IL, families must:

  • Have a patient 21 years or younger being treated at a Springfield medical facility
    • Individuals seeking to stay at the House that are under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian
  • Live more than 40 minutes from Springfield
  • Successfully complete a criminal background check (for guests 18 and older)

Steps to Request a Room at the Springfield House:

  • Currently, to stay at the Springfield Ronald McDonald House, you must be referred by the hospital where your child is being treated. Please contact your hospital’s nurse manager or social worker to learn more about the referral process.
  • Wait for confirmation - RMHCCI will contact you once we receive the registration and to obtain additional information, such as the criminal background check authorization.
  • Check availability - Because we are unable to take reservations, room accommodations are on a first come, first served basis. While we make every effort to provide a room, we may not be able to accommodate your family.
